How time has moved on. In Greenplan’s Newsletter “February 1999” we officially opened the Arapito Lodge. The purpose of the lodge was to provide pruning contractors with superior accommodation closer to the forests where work was being undertaken. Now that most of the work in close proximity to the lodge has been completed the pruners requirements for accommodation have ended. This has led us to reconsider the use of the lodge. The obvious solution is to offer the lodge to investors and other members of the public as a holiday escape.
A near new 7 bedroom fully self contained lodge capable of sleeping 13 guests, located some 35 kilometres southeast of Te Kuiti on the Mapara South Road. The lodge is situated in the Aratoro Valley adjacent to the Mapara Wildlife Reserve, Greenplan Forests and Farmland. They offer endless hours of walking, bird watching or just simple relaxation.
